Hi guys,

I wanted to know what I must do to enable file transfer with Msn messenger
with the router mentioned above.

I tried to open the ports from 6891-6900 but it doesn't work.

Any haelp is appreciated.

Thanks.
Massimo

Greetings,

Just opening ports will have no effect if the router doesn't support Universal Plug and Play
(UPnP). The SureConnect does, so you shouldn't need to be forwarding any ports. However,
what version of Messenger are you using? Only Windows Messenger 5 and MSN Messenger 5 and
above have support for UPnP-enabled file transfer.

If you haven't already, you should upgrade to MSN Messenger 6.x. Also, is it sending or
receiving that you're having difficulty with? If it's receiving, the fault is on your
contacts' side.

Hi Johathan, thanks for your reply, I'm using Msn Messenger 6.2 but I can't
neither send nor receive files, instant messages are fine.

Msn messenger says: "you are connect to internet behind a Nat limited by
UPnP port"
