diablo 2, us east, v.1.10.

i keep reading on how you can put your own mule players into a game, and
then play with your "real" character, thus playing a game with mulptile
players in it.

i don't understand how this works. i do understand that a game can stay
active even when no one is in it. but how do you keep your mule player
*in* the game, and enter it with your "real" character.

either one must have to install diablo 2 twice, on two different
machines? or you can run two instances of the game on the same machine.
right? because otherwise, you are "save and quit" as your mule account,
which leaves 0 players in the game.

how do people do this?

thanks!

A lot of people have two or more instances of the game installed,
either on the same or on multiple machines. I usually park one or two
mules while playing HC, dragging them along with me.
