Hello there!
So, here's my problem, I am such a noob at this kinda stuff so I gotta ask for help. Anyway, my first question is; can I run my current graphics card along with another graphics card and how much better can I expect the performance to be?

My current GPU: Radeon R9 290X -Tri

The GPU I'm looking to buy: Radeon R7 250X
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

My Motherboard (In case it matters): ASUS Maximus VII Hero
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

So, my second question is; How do I set it up if I want the R7 to just support the R9 when I'm recording games like Black Ops III? I'm guessing it's through Crossfire, but I'm not too sure.

And finally, my third question is; can my current power supply take the load of the two of them? Also, is my power supply even good enough to take the load of my current GPU, the R9. The reason I ask the second question is because my friends like to troll me into thinking my computer is utter garbage, I can't tell if they are just joking but I just want to make sure.

Here is my power supply:

Yeah they send me things like computers on fire and tell me that this will happen if I don't get a better power supply. (I know it really won't but I was just wondering if my power supply is hindering the performance of my computer.)

Thanks!
-Kael

Solution
You can't Crossfire GPUs from different families. There is no way to Crossfire the R9-290X and a R7-anything. Sorry.

There is nothing to be gained from trying to get the 2 of those to work together. BTW, none of your links work.

Thanks for your answer, ok, so if I get one from the same family, an R9, will it work? And I'm not sure why the links are doing that, my power supply is a thermaltake 750 watt, so if I had another graphics card do you think it would be able to power both?

You need another R9-290X and would need to step your PSU up to 1000w. A single 290X has a 750w PSU recommendation.

See here:

You can use a 290(but will limit your 290X to non-X performance). I think you could also use a 390X as the primary GPU and your current 290X as the secondary card. Either option would require the same PSU upgrade as well.

Yeah lol I think I'm gonna skip out on a secondary graphics card. Thank you so much for your help anyway!
