Multi Monitor Set Up

Hey guys, I'm kind of new to the computer building world, but I have a question that really needs answering. If I purchase a video card, say this one here (I'm planning on getting an Asus R90x 3GB), that has a DVI-D and a DVI-I dual link port as well as HDMI and DisplayPort, how would I set up dual monitors? Would I connect one to the DVI-D output and one to the DisplayPort output? (For reference, I'm getting two Acer G236HLBbd 60Hz 23.0" Monitors). Also what cables do monitors normally come with so I can predict whether or not I need to buy aditional cables. Thanks in advance

Pretty much, you will have to get a converter though, I believe the card will come with display port to DVI, if so you will be fine for multi-monitor setup.

Oh and I want to be able to play a game in full screen on one monitor and be able to have my twitch chat, OBS, and other stuff in the other monitor. Is that possible or am I dreaming too big?

Totally man, you could have tweet deck and TwichChat on one side, and be gaming on the other. And you could expand upto 4 monitors if you wanted to have three monitors going to one game, and 1 monitor for Chat and Twitter.
