I currently have a Galaxy MDT running 3 monitors. The software that comes with the monitor is not very robust. The MDT can only be set 4x1 or 2x2 configurations.

I would like to find a new video card to control 4 monitors and I would be able to place the monitors in any orientation. For online school, I'd like to have a developer tool, internet, ebook and another application open at the same time (Usually Word/Excel)

I do play games on the PC too, but not very often, I'd like to be able to do a game of Guild Wars with my son once in a while.

Can anyone recommend a video card? I'd like to stay round $200.

My computer has PCI-E 16x. (eMachines ET1352G-03w) and I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I have 4GB installed on the motherboard.

AMD has pretty good multi-monitor software, and their hydra driver/utility can configure just about any combination of sizes and orientations. You do need displayport though for any third and above monitor connection.

Look at the 7850's

Pay attention to the ports on the back.

AMD's checklist for Eyefinity, mainly aimed at gaming but also applicable to professional multi-monitor

edit: DO check your power supply first, it maybe unadvisable to run this card in that computer. Make, model, wattage on the 12v (picture would be nice). Consider yourself limited to a 7750 without more information.
