So I was thinking of buying RGB light strips for my room

Here's my question: is it possible for the remote to control two light strips? So let's say my PC is on one side of my room and my TV on another side of the same room. I want to put the RGB strips on the backs of both my PC monitor and TV. Will I need two buy two whole separate packs? Or is there a way around this?

Thanks in advance!

You can cut the strips and extended them, BUT if you doing it any distance, then you need boosters and extra power and then trying to get the wiring across the room means running phone cord or cat5 wire or something with at least 4 strands, and can be a pain. Or you can buy a few sets and use 2 sensors, so the remote can control them both.

Depending on how much you need, you could get the 1 set and buy another remote/sensor, but that is still going to require cutting and soldering.

I use them behind my TV, and my new desk will use the remainder from there for underlighting and I have RGB remote control candles too.

I need about 4-5 ft for my PC monitor and about 10-15ft for around my TV. What would be the easiest way to do this? I'm not good with soldering and wiring =/

I would just get 2 separate sets. You need 10-15 feet for the TV, and the set is only 16.6 feet anyways, so there is a whole one there. Then get a seconds kit for the PC and just cut it for the 4-5 feet you want for that, save the other ~10 feet for whatever down the road. Then you have 2 sensors, and both can be control together if you place the IR sensors in a way they can both be hit with the remote, or aim towards your ceiling to reflect and turn them both on/off/color change/etc. OR put the sensors and aim the remote in ways to only control 1 set or the other. Then you can set 2 different colors, turn off the ones around the PC monitor when gaming, but keep the TV ones, etc.

It's the same remote for any strip, but IR sensor positon can make them work in tandem or not, your call.
