Hello,
It's my first post here and I am seeking for your help. 6 months ago I purchased a new desktop with the following specs:
1. Case corsair graphite series 760t black
2. Motherboard Gigabyte Z97x-Gaming GT (1150/Z97X)
3. PSU CORSAIR RM 650W 80+ GOLD
4. CPU COOLER ZALMAN CNPS5X PERFORMA
5. SSD SAMSUNG 120GB SATA III 850 EVO S21UNSAG137183
6. CPU INTEL CORE i7 4790K (1150/4.0GHZ/8MB)
7. VGA PCI X MSI R9 270X GAMING 2GB
8. RAM DDR3 CORSAIR 8GB (2X4) KIT 1600MHZ Ve
9. HDD WD SATA III 3TB 64MB RED
10. DVD-RW SAMSUNG SH-224DB/BEBE BLACK BULK
11. WINDOWS 8,1 64BIT upgraded later to WINDOWS 10
I started to use it, and I didn't have any problems. Then suddenly as I was on web, the PC froze and a grey screen appeared. Because of this problem I am unable to use my PC since it becomes COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE. I can't even active the CAPS LOCK button during this state. The only solution is just to press the RESET button in order to use him again.
I searched across the web in different forums and I read that this problem is mainly caused by the graphics card. I returned the PC to the store I purchased it, I explained them my prob and they said me that they will check it in order to examine it. After a clean install of Windows 8,1 (I had Win10 at that time) the results were that my SSD wasn't pluged corrently and the graphics card was in perfect shape. They also run a diagnostics program called FURMARK I think which pushes the card to the limit and everything was fine.
Thus, they called me to take my PC back which I did. I upgraded again to Windows 10 and after 3 days of usage (not continuous of course) my PC started the same again, but this time many grey and green stripes filled my screen. Also during the restart process after this problem a screen appeared which informed me that "Your PC made a restart due to a failure, in order to protect your files". This happened 2 times. The first I had the following failure: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH and the second one was KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE.
I have tried almost everything and I am really desperate because I spent 1600 euros and literally speaking I don't have PC. I need my PC for my exams and I can't use him properly. Any ideas of what's happening???
