Multicolour lines and hazes

Yesterday I lost my usual power cable for my PC after moving it, and I found a new one, and I'm not sure how old it is but when I started it up and played BF3 the screen would go black but then the picture would come back. I got pretty sick of this after a while and rebooted the computer. Then I got some multicolour lines and discolouring on the screen. This also happened after updating the driver. I really don't want to go out and buy another GPU, because I don't have enough money.

Mobo: MSI H87M G43
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K
GPU: Asus GTX 660
RAM: 8 Gb
PSU: Thermaltake 500 Watt (Came with case)

Try to reinstall your drivers.

Where did you move it to? The power cable shouldn't be an issue, but it sounds like it is overheating. Did you maybe move it to a room which is hotter? Or block the air flow? Maybe try cleaning the dust out of it or getting a case fan, because I suspect its overheating.

I haven't moved it, but I do have it on carpet, and my internet card is blocking a 1/4 of the fan. I have only one fan in my case. The room was fairly cold however.

Overheating still sounds like it might be the issue.
