i have a pc that has a network card which is connected to my home network
and a wirless device which connects to my broadband router.
The problem i have is when i open internet explorer or try to ping my router
i get no reply as it seems to use my home network lan card.
Can someone please suggest any fixes for this as i still want to use my lan
and broadband.

Why are you using both interfaces at the same time for the same network? Why not either the
hardwired Ethernet or the wireless interface? I don't quite understand...
