Multimedia Audio Controller Issues!! Urgent!!

Ok heres the situation.

a computer guy as recently come round and completly wiped out our computer
and then started again to get rid of all the viruses we had.

It works fine now, apart from one problem..The Multimedia Auido Controller
wont install, I tried to install it and it says its already in use. I have no
idea what the sound card manufacturer is.

I have no idea how to fix it. Please help me!!

Aida32.exe will tell you what your sound card is. By the
way - what's so urgent about a non-functioning sound
card?

Its urgent cos my brother is a DJ and needs to download tunes onto a cd for
his gigs.

The sound card is not necessary to download tunes onto a CD.
