Multimedia Audio Controller on win 7 64bit problem

I'm using win 7 64 bit and I have installed soundmax audio drivers. On playback devices it shows that everything is fine I can see the speakers and mic, but when I go to device manager there is something called Multimedia audio controller and I cant seem to update it through windows nor find any drivers on the web and I have no sound. Can someone help please? 🙁

Have your tried These thou Win7 should have them built in...
You probably should check the bios first and make sure the soundcard is enabled there first now that I think about it.

I did do the first step you mentioned but I haven't looked into the bios yet, thanks for the reply, I'll let you know if it works.
