Multiplayer in Pirated Games

Well i have been playing pc games for more than 15 years where some of them are original and many of them are pirated.And the main reason i buy original is only for multiplayer.I thought we can't play multiplayer in pirated games.But today i happened to watch a video on playing multiplayer in pirated games,they use an application called Tunngle and i don't have any idea about it.

I would like to play multiplayer in games like Metal Gear Solid V TPP & mainly GTA V

So please reply me whether this is possible or impossible?

And can i play multiplayer in any pirated games available in torrents or only in reloaded & repacked release?
