I'm wondering why is campaign easier to run at higher settings than multiplayer of the same game. For example, when i played battlefield 4 i could run the campaign on max settings with no problem at all but for its multiplayer, i had to drop it to high to get smooth game play.

I Think .. because the numbers of Players and bullets in shoot and Explosions .. like if u login to server have no players game performance will be like campaign .
in MP it need a good CPU to handle it . but in SP it need just 2 core to play it well .. but 2 core in MP .. game will crash and FPS will be lower than it should .. and in server have 64/64 u will get LOW FPS .

as with any online games CPU is the main bottleneck.
