One day I turned on my pc and got a boot error. I just left bios and it booted fine. Next day I got another boot error. I did the same and just escape and booted normal. Then today I had complete and total boot failer with multiple bsod. I did tests of my ram. Both booted fine on their own. Took out my gpu also ran on board.

Then figured my hdd went and I belive it has. Got a new one installed. Tried to install Windows 10. Now still bsod same ones. THE constant KERNAL error. Flashed by bios again. Cleared cmos. Nothing. Still bsod even when I set boot to usb with usb with with Windows 10. And I get these recurring bsod codes. Unexpected kernal mode trap. Most common. then I had one that was irql not less than or equal. I tried booting from all devices and got nearly the same occuranc. Then my bios says ROM not loadable or somthing get and Rom access denied or somthing. I honestly have no idea what has happened. It wants to download the windows but as it starts those balls around it then bsod.

I don't have anything to offer other than I have very similar issue with my Gigabyte z270x Gaming 5 & i7 7700k.

Multiple BSODs with a rainbow of reasons:

- KMODE_EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
- APC INDEX MISMATCH
- CRITICAL PROCESS DIED
- and on and on

Different hard drives, different SATA ports, different cables, all the same story.

Same problem, I did a bios update a week ago because I was planning on getting a Kaby Lake processor. The bios update was to support Kaby Lake processors. I had been leaving my pc up for days until today. Today morning: computer is running so I turn on my monitor and shake the mouse and type in the keyboard. Nothing happens so I restart (restart button on pc wasn't working) and it works. I left my house at 4:50 and came back at 7 and the exact same problem this time, I got the bsods and the Rom errors. I hope it can be fixed because I don't want to spend money on something other than a processor. I don't know if it was the bios update or the long run times or both.

Hi Matt, same thing happens to me, latest bios(F10a), latest drivers, same motherboard (Z270X-Gaming 5 (U3E1)), i5 7600K @ 3.80GHz CPU. Did you find a fix?

Thought id let everyone know if you have this problem it is a faulty CPU i sent it to INTEL and they said the processor was basically dead as soon as the OS tried to hand over the operating system to the Cpu they sent me a new one and bam. Perfect boot and everything was fine.
