Hello Everyone,

I just built my first computer in October of 2020 and since then I've been having a slew of BSOD crashes, and webpage crashes. Just a few of them that I remember are (forgive me if they aren't written correctly):

  • DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
  • Kernal_Security_Check
  • IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
I have been looking at old posts throughout and have done the following already:

  • Updated all drivers
  • Re-installed GPU drivers
  • Checked CPU/GPU temperatures
  • Re-installed Windows 10
  • Checked my RAM using Windows Memory Diagnostic
  • Checked my RAM using online tool (HCI something...i don't remember the exact program)
  • Checked each RAM stick individually by taking one out and starting the computer
    • One of the RAM sticks made it so that my computer didn't display anything when I turned power on so I assumed that was the issue and have been running my computer with just one stick of 8GB RAM at this point
  • After taking RAM out I re-installed windows again and am still having issues only now when the BSOD happens I can't see what the violation was as it is cut off from the screen
  • Recently I have found that my "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller" has two "Standard SATA AHCI Controller" drivers under it and am wondering if that's the issue
  • Also if it matters, the screen will flicker from time to time, not sure if that is related
I have tried really hard to figure it out because I'm interested in learning more about computers and possibly going into a career but I cannot figure this out and need some help.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (stock cooling fan)
Motherboard: ASUS Tuf Gaming X570-Plus Wifi
RAM: G-Skill Ripjaws DDR4 2x8GB 3200 (just one stick in now)
GPU: ASUS Geforce GTX 1660 Super Phoenix
PSU: Corsair CX650M 650 Watt
SSD: Inland Professional 1TB SSD
Case: NZXT H510

I think that's everything.

EDIT: I added the RAM is DDR4 3200

Thank you Bob.B. Here is the link to the Speccy report. I had to take a couple days from frustration with this whole thing so I apologize for not uploading this sooner.

Start over.
Update the bios to the latest.
Bin that driver easy thing.
Reload windows.
Get the drivers from the maker's sites.
Test.

If that works fuss with the ram.

I don't allow msft to muck with my drivers so I block that and do it manual.
