Recently started streaming my gaming content as a result i decided to upgrade my CPU to the i7 8700. However I'm encountering Multiple BSODs

Including:
Driver_Irql_less_or_not_equal_error (The latest one happened after about an hour of running pc, literally just sitting in discord and talking).
Kernel_Trap_error
and some others, these are the main ones though.

I've fresh installed windows, updated all my drivers and to no avail.

Also tried to run the driver verifier ended up creating some logs but unsure how to read etc.

Specs
i7 8700
GPU Nvidia 1660
16gb DDR4
PSU 550w

If someone could read the dumps and help me out I would gladly appreciate as my streams have been ending early due to these frequent crashes.

Again I will say this did happen after upgrading cpu, however my memory was incompatible with my motherboard and old cpu. so it might have bricked the sticks and caused some kind of fault seeing as all the errors point to 'probably caused my memory_corruption'

can you share the minidump reports each time you crash, one of them might actually point at a driver name.

I see memory corruption in almost every BSOD I see to point I don't comment on it anymore. It can be result of drivers giving wrong commands/data.

I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/0a86qz7j/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

Okay so I have just found out that my cpu is running at 4.33GHz when the base is set to 3.20. Apparently its overlocked itself as I swear on my life I havent touched it. Could this be the reason im crashing so much. As in its perma-overheating or something

how do you even overclock a non K CPU? especially on a H motherboard...

I can see uncore as 4300 here. https://valid.x86.fr/y7h1na

Its below max turbo clock of 4.6 so not a worry.
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...-8700-processor-12m-cache-up-to-4-60-ghz.html

I have a few bsod to catch up on.

Can you run this for me - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/pages/bsodcollectionapp/
It makes a zip file, can you upload that like the dumps.
it might help figure out cause. none of the errors that gardenman has converted so far, were obvious.

I think I got all of the dumps. A few of them you posted twice. Then some in the sysnative file were not posted elsewhere.

well, it sure blames them for one of them.

and I assume rusclient is a game so we could blame nvidia for those as well.

what CPU did you have before the 8700?
What make model is PSU?
Changing hardware in systems can upset balance and might cause other gear that was on limit to fail.

I will look at sysnative later, its 4am and I should crash.

What did you have before the 8700, or did I misunderstand and you got an entirely new PC?

I wonder if I am being blind again. All BSOD happened after you replace CPU? Only looking for a driver solution

Try running this on CPU - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool

crash on 18th mentions DirectX, the 2 since both could be CPU. Hence my test above.

Almost every review I find of that PSU make is don't buy it, so it could also be the cause. A bad heart )PSU) can lead to all sorts of issues. I don't normally suggest blind replacements though. Maybe only when I don't know PSU brand and have to go looking for reviews.

PSU are one of the 2 items in PC its almost impossible to test. There are ways but they aren't ideal.
the paper clip method - https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/what-is-the-paperclip-method-of-testing-a-psu.1336402/

or multimeter,

or in the BIOS to check the +3.3V, +5V, and +12V. - https://www.lifewire.com/power-supply-voltage-tolerances-2624583

Ran this previously, had no issues. Running again to be sure. I did a clean install. Turned off windows updates, downloaded only the nvidia graphics and physx driver and i was running for another week with no bsods. But as soon as im streaming a new game, crashes.

i7 8700 - CPU Tested out okay
GPU Nvidia 1660 - crashes appear tied to GPU drivers?
16gb DDR4 Corsair 3200 - Have we run memtest?
PSU 550w - replaced with 800, still BSOD
motherboard - Gigabyte H310M-H

I helped someone who was told that running VGK.sys on systems where you have 3200 ram running in XMP can cause BSOD. I am not sure its true but thought I would mention it.

Well, after months away from my pc I'm back. Wasnt crashing regularly for a while but I also wasn't really pushing my CPU/GPU on the games i was playing. As soon as I loaded up an intensive game i got 5 BSOD's within a week, if anyone is still following this thread :'). Not going to lie Ive never been sadder about a machine in my life.

Comment: The overclocking driver "RTCore64.sys" was found on your system. (MSI Afterburner)

Possible Motherboard page: https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/H310M-H-rev-10
Assuming you have Revision 1.0 of the motherboard, there is a BIOS update available for your system. You are using version F12 and the latest is F15b. Wait for additional information before deciding to update or not. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

Most of the crashes happened before after burner and i just use it to cooldown my gpu, surely it isn't the cause. Almost 100% convinced it's not the problem.

As for storage devices, If you mean SSD/HDD I'm running a CT500MX 500gb SSD and a Samsung 850 evo 250gb SSD
