Hello fellow Techeads, I have recently moved in to a new place and as I was setting up my home network consisting of one modem, one 8 port switch, two computers running windows 7, an Xbox 360 and a HP printer I figured since I have some free ports I would use two cables from the modem to the switch to perhaps increase the potential speed of all the devices or the data flow, however when I hooked it up it created an infinite loop between my modem and the switch and I could not connect to any of my devices or the internet even tho all the devices registered a connection with the net.
So my question is does any one know how I might set it up to use multiple cables from the modem to the switch, the modem is a FritzBox 7390 running the Fritz OS 6.03 and the switch is a TP-Link TL-SG1008.
Thanks in Advance
Harley.
