Multiple corrupt profiles in a short amount of time.

This might just be unfortunate timing but in the last month or two we have had about 5 users need a profile recreation.

I was wondering if anyone else had noticed an increase in profile corruption?

These are all fully updated windows 7 machines both 64 and 32 bit and on a domain.

Are the profiles stored locally or on the server? Has there been a problem with anything else being corrupted? I ask the second question because if other files are corrupted it makes me wonder if it is a hard drive failing issue (bad sectors) or some sort of virus.
