Hi there, just upgraded from i5 9600k to i7 12700k (including motherboard upgrades) since upgrading I’ve had no end of crashes with irql not equal or less and system thread exception not handled. I have followed numerous guides of running scans to fix the issue with no success. I have also updated all my drivers. The only idea I have of what’s causing the issue is that I’m using an insider Version of win11, wish I had never signed up!

did you do a fresh win 11 insider install?

latest motherboard bios?
I had to upgrade to F7 (latest bios version) to get my M2 drives picked up, I haven’t done a fully fresh install as I have a lot of apps downloaded that I use for university. I have rolled back to an older version of the preview and still getting similar crashes so I am redoing the install to see if that will help!

Update several years later:

The issue was the Memory kits, I had installed 2x 2x8GB kits (Both Corsair 3200MHz), but one of them didn't like XMP, so I just had to run it at a lower clock speed.
