I have replaced my monitor a few months ago, and I noticed that many times when I duplicate my display with my TV the monitor and the tv flash with black screen (like they turn off and on). It can happen one time or few times in a row, before it settle up.
My monitor Asus VG245H is connected via display port and tv with HDMI. With my old monitor i didn't have this issue.
Any thoughts?

Can you try setting both refresh rates to 60Hz first please at 1080p

Could be a GPU driver issue, was highlighted as a bug fixed in the latest patch overnight (assuming you have an Nvidia card as you didnt post your specs). Try downloading the latest 416.81 Nvidia Drivers and see if it fixes the issue. If not please post your PC specs including GPU and PSU and we may be able to help a little more.

Also, please post Resolution and Refresh rates of both monitors as this may be causing the conflict.

Just to cut through any delays, the 29Hz the TV is running at is fine for viewing (24Hz is all that is required) but it is insufficient for gaming and PC use, this is the reason for the flickering. If your TV cannot run at 60Hz minimum then it is no good for use with your PC sorry mate. It wont hurt your hardware but it will continue to flicker.
