Multiple displays with gtx 680m(laptop gpu)

Hello all, recently i bought an m17x with the 3820qm processor with the nvidia 680m graphics card. i also have 16gb of ram. i have an old monitor that i hooked up to the m17x through the vga input. i can extend my screens and duplicate them and it works fine. how ever i'm having alot of trouble being able to play games, watching movies through BOTH screens. When ever i start counter strike source it only plays on the m17x's built in monitor. ive messed with the gfx settings and nothing budges.. can someone help me? do i need new drivers?

Can anyone help -

I just wanted to clarify the following regarding the multi-monitor setup

1_) 7970M can extend display to 3 different monitors via the ports available on the MX18 R2 and via AMD/ATI software?

2_) GTX 680M not possible to extend multi-monitor like the 7970M unless you buy additional peripherals/cables/boxes?

If you can not extend the GTX 680M to 3 different monitors -

3_) What additional hardware/software can you use and which is the best

4_) Any experience in this would be whole lot of useful for me and others.
