Multiple errors and intermittent internet

First time posting, so I'll provide as much detail as I possibly can. About a month ago, our internet started to get very intermittent. It would work for a few minutes then disconnect. It could be fixed if I ran the trouble shooter, but it was too frequent and made it almost unusable.

We have the Xfinity wireless Gateway 1 (Model TG8305C) which recently got replaced by a tech who came to our house. It didn't really seem to help.

Every wireless device is having issues. This includes a MSI 16GC, Macbook pro retina, Macbook air, Iphone 4, 5, 5C, 5S, a custom-built desktop with a TP-LINK 300Mbps Wireless N adapter.

ISP: Comcast
Total devices: 11 (4 laptops, 5 mobile devices, and 2 desktops [1 wired, 1 wireless])

Error messages that I see:
The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the internet is broken.

Windows can't communicate with the primary DNS server.

Default gateway is unavailable.

If necessary, I can go find the complete hardware of all the computers I can.

This Windows can't communicate with the primary DNS server. Sounds like your ISP's DNS servers are dead.

Change it under the network adapter's properties under IPv4 to Google's. 8.8.8.8 preferred 8.8.4.4 alternate

Put them on obtain an ip automatically under the above

WHAT TP-link adapter is it?? Did you install the drivers from the TP-link site?? Update the firmware on the modem

Sorry for taking a while to get back to you. I'm not too knowledgeable in terms of computers so I was researching a bit on the suggestions you provided... Which took a while because of the state of my connection.

IPv4 is already set to automatically set to obtain an IP address.

I looked up what a TP-Link adapter was, and I can't say I've ever seen one of those before. As for drivers, I keep everything as up-to-date as possible, although some drivers tend to be dated since the computers I use say they are the latest drivers when I check for them automatically.

It says here that the Xfinity device I have automatically updates firmware. http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/internet/upgrading-outdated-networking-equipment/

Sorry, I was right the first time. It is indeed a TP-LINK 300Mbps Wireless N adaptor.

Okay, I've changed the IPv4 to the suggested IPs and it seems to prevent the internet from disconnecting completely. However, instead of cutting out, it becomes incredibly slow. Which is an improvement. I have gotten the updated drivers from the site.

8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 are Google ip addies. And just as long as they dont die, you should be able to get online with them.

But it does sound like youre ISP's DNS servers are dead. If you mean the PC/s I would use ccleaner and remove the temp files / junk. And make sure noone has installed any adware

By slow do you mean the PC or the internet? Also what browser/s are you using??

I would contact your ISP. Ask them if there are any alternate DNS servers that you can use. Because theirs are dead

If the adapter/s are N300 whats the modem/router?? Because if thats Wireless G, these adapters will only go @ G speed not wireless N speed
