Multiple GPU Failure

So recently I started playing Fortnite heavily. Before this I only played games a few times a week and rendered videos a few times a week. The other day mid game in Fortnite my display went black and windows 10 played the disconnect sound and nothing came on. My sound and chat was still playing. I restarted my pc and my notifications said "Display Driver Failed To Start". I tried a few more times and eventually it wouldn't make it passed the main menu without failing. My gpu temp wasnt passing 65c. I took my card out and cleaned the PCI pins and reinstalled the drivers. It allowed me back into the game for about 5 minutes and failed again. I got off and tried again the next morning. It allowed me to play for a solid hour before it black screened again. After it fails once for the day it wont let me back in the Fortnite menu again unless I come back a few hours later. I tried my old GTX 660 that I was running before I upgraded which ran fine before. I load up the game and enter the main menu then it white screens and restarts. I've been running my pc since the 4770k was released with not a single issue until last week. Sounds like a motherboard issue to me since both cards are having issues. It confuses me since it lets me play for a hour or so then decides to stop working and wont work at all after that. Heres my specs:

I7 4770K
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
EVGA GTX 970
MSI Z87-G55 Mobo
Corsair GS800 PSU

I'd start with a clean removal of all graphics card drivers in safe mode using Display Driver Uninstaller. After that, install the newest drivers for the graphics card. Only install the driver and Physx; leave everything else. This is the first step when graphics cards are malfunctioning.

It may help to remove the side panel of the case. Something may be overheating.

Failing motherboard and power supply can also cause random shutdowns. Those are lower on the possibilities list.

So I finally got around to trying this out and ended up with the same result. I did try today loading up Fortnite and as soon as I entered the pregame lobby my pc black screened. I quickly took my psu from my other pc and connected it and ran Fortnite for 2 games straight no problems. So I immediately assumed it was my psu. Sure enough I connect my psu back in and I played 2 games perfectly fine. So now it probably wont do it again until later tonight. The inconsistency is what is killing me. Its almost like the pc chooses when its ready to fail. It's really making it hard to find a solution.

The only solution to that is to run the test for a longer period of time. Some issues are occur very inconsistently. Some even return after days of working correctly after a change is made. I'd stick with the 2nd PSU for a week or so.
