System:
Mobo: Asus tuf gaming x570 plus (wifi)
Cpu: amd ryzen 3600x
Gpu: zotac 1080ti
Ram: 2 x 8gb 3200mhz trintendz
Disks: 1stkingston ssd 2.5" that has windows 10os
2nd m.2 wd ssd which has Linux ubuntu in one partition and the other partition is used from windows for gaming.
3rd an hdd 1 tera for storing files.

Had the idea of updating firmware using usb stick and ez utilities from movies bios.
Got black screen.
After resetting, computer did some weird attempts to boot, skipped bios and the option that gives me to choose between linux or windows and booted str8 on windows.

I dissabled fast booting from windows, removed mobo battery and drained power. No results.

Then via advance restart,.I managed to boot in linux. After booting back to windows, the whole m.2 that has Linux on it dissapeared. Not showing up on device manager or the other tool that windows has for hard drives.

So no bios option, and no hard drive.

Then asus recommended to remove all hard drives and try to boot.
No results, when hooked back the hard drives. Got black screen, no booting or responses at all.
I switched around the hard drives.

Any ideas how to fix this mess?

had a situation similar to yours but the reset bios in the manual was a screwdriver across two pins down near the battery with mains unplugged you can see on page 1.9 hope this helps but not had any issues with bios myself always download on usb and update from bios.

Thanks mate, so this was the solution!
So it seems that the update messed my bios options and somehow the DPI connected 4k monitor was not working (black screen). I should use hdmi to fix that but I didn't think of it, there for I had black screen, restarted pc and that messed up the bios up-date.

Afterwards I could not see bios options at all as my screen was black.

Now there is one more issue. I have 3 hard drives as mentioned.
The ssd 2.5 kingston 256gb that has Windows OS
HDD 1tera that has saved files.
M.2 1 tera partitioned in 2 parts 300gb with Linux OS and 700gb for windows storage.

I have activated nvme option on bios but still can not see the M.2 in Bios and can not boot on the linux. (It used to work like a charm).
When logging in windows, I can see the 700gb partition and the 300gb where is the linux on but when In BIOS I can con see the m.2.

So I can not boot in linux. Any ideas of how this could be fixed?
