Hey guys,

So i've decided to upgrade the cooling in my case, and I figured while I was at it, I might as well make it look good 😉 So, I want to get some LED fans. Problem is, ALL of the LED fans that i have seen, only come with the 4-pin molex cable.

The problem with this, is that I have used all of the molex cables from my PSU already, as I am running 2 SSDs.

So here I am wondering what on earth I'm going to do about this. Would it be safe/okay to buy a Y molex splitter and plug it into this molex hub?

Kind regards,

I don't see any problem as long as all the outputs are used for light duty loads like fans. But there are lots of lighted fans out there that also come with the small 3 pin Molex connectors. Not to mention 4 pin PWM fans.

Ah, you're right. I just looked at some of the 'high end' case fans and they come with a 3 pin. Still, I keep a rather firm grip on the contents of my wallet, so i think i'll just stick with the cheaper options for now 😉 Thank you for your help, clutchc :)
