Hi all,

I am running into some frustrating issues with my system lately regarding my monitor setup. I am currently running 2 GTX550Ti GPUs pushing 2 monitors:

GPU1
1x 1920x1080
1x 1280x800

GPU2
2x 1280x1024

other stats

Phenom II X6 1075T
16gb ram
ssd hdd
asus mobo, forget model

They are set up with the 23" in the middle, the two 19s on either side, and the 17" up top. I do alot of multi-tasking, and I am addicted to real-estate.

Anyhow, heres the problem that I am running into,

Say that I am running WoW on medium settings in the 24" monitor; I have no other programs running, im getting 60fps solid. However, If i open say a folder (explorer window), in any other monitor, my fps dropps by about 20. Even if it is being displayed through another GPU. Im not sure if this issue is related, because opening a single folder should not drop FPS any noticable ammount.

In the same way, If i open up a video/movie on a screen, my fps in-game will drop by ~40fps.

I know there is a way to set core affinity for programs, but what about GPUs? It seems to me that for whatever reason, the driver is trying to push all of the processing through a single card, instead of having the appropriate GPU process the content it is displaying.
