Hi!
I just built a computer for a friend using a 9800pro card, and hooking up 2 (two) monitors to it. Now he wants a 3d (third) display. Can I just put in a PCI card and let windows (XP pro Sp1) take care of it? Any advice guys?

Thanks

Im dont really know if you can do that.
My only attempt of putting 2 vid card was with win98 and it corrupted my kernel hehe...
Win2k is suppose to be able to handle at least 6 monitor...
Anyway if you give it a try, post your results/problem in here id be curious to see if its possible...

the only card taht can handle three monitors is the matrox parhelia...as for just adding a pci card and hoping itll work, i doubt it--only matrox makes drivers with support for three monitors.

Well as I said since win98 windows is suppose to support up to 6 monitor, I dont know whats the actual number for win2k but the OS is suppose to be able to handle more than 2 by itself...Now rember its MS product tough...

Yes. In fact, if you were to get a Radeon 9100 PCI, you'd even be able to do some 3D stuff on it at moderate resolutions and reasonable speeds.

It works fine, even Staples office supply store used 6 displays off one computer for their display display (uh, the shelf space that showed off their monitors).
