Hi All,
My provider has a Lighting Edge 38SFP router in the place we have just moved into. From this devise there is a connection for the TV plus another 7 Ethernet outlets that go to multiple location through our 2 story home.
We have two work areas but only one wireless printer. Also need wireless access through of mobile phones etc.
Ihave two wireless routers - one is a Dlink DIR615 - about 3 years old ad a new Cisco Linksys EA4500.
I've tried some of the suggested solutions for multiple routers but cannot get all laptops etc to be able to see the wireless printer.
I have set the SSID etc to be the same on both routers but find that when trying to make an Access Point that I have to reconnect my mobile phone each time I move from one are to the other. i.e. not seamless re-connect.

I'm not real tech savy but I know my way around a router - just not always understanding the results of my actions.
Hoping that someone can provide a clear path forward.
many thanks in advance.
Peter

Your comments relating to the DHCP IP address may be the key (as I said I'm not real tech savy).

Perhaps you/someone can confirm if the Lightning Edge packeter can provide that function.?
If not, does that mean I should connect a router directly to one of the outputs from the packeter and then connect each of the active Ethernet lines that go around the house to the router instead of the packeter??

Hoping that you can assist.
many thanks
