Hi there,
Recently in my task manager I have noticed that I have a Windows host process (Rundll32) and a Windows host process (Rundll32) (32bit). Now from what I have read, it is possible to tell if it is a virus or not depending on what folder it is in - the Windows host process (Rundll32) is in the system32 folder, but the Windows host process (Rundll32) (32bit) is in the sysWOW64 folder. This seems quite strange to me. I have also noticed that my laptop is running much slower than usual, but AVG and Malwarebytes have not been able to find anything.
My laptop runs on Windows 8.1, its 64bit.
Does this sound like it could be a virus or malware of some kind? If so, how should I go about removing it? It does seem strange that it is running two different Rundll32, especially as one is not in the system 32 folder, where, from what I have read, it should be.
Any help would be much appreciated. If you need more information, just let me know.
