I'm having a strange issue with my WiFi that's been going on for several months now, where my wifi adapter constantly drops every couple minutes or so... Or fails to connect to a network, even though the network has full bars. Even when the internet seems to be steady, it's extremely slow, and I notice with my downloads that it regularly fluctuates in speeds between 0 Kb/s and 200 Kb/s, and refuses to stay steady.
Now, I know for sure that this is an issue with the COMPUTER, and not the router, because I'm constantly mobile. My computer connects to several routers throughout the day, and it has the same issue on all of them, whereas other people in those same areas do not have these issues.
I've tried to use the winsh fix, renew my IP address, reset my wifi adapter, delete the wifi adapter and let it reinstall, and I've checked for viruses or malware, all to no avail.
I thought for a while that maybe my wireless antennae was broken, but since it can still connect most of the time I don't think that's the case. Unfortunately, I'm at a complete loss now, since I haven't been able to find anyone with problems quite like the ones that I'm having. There are a lot of similar issues, but they're all too often fixed by doing things with the router, which isn't the problem here.
I should mention that internet speeds did NOT improve when I plugged my computer directly into a router a few days ago.
