Mummy=Highlander?

A lot of people have wanted to adapt Highlander-style Immortals to the
WoD for a while, but ignore the fact that it already has such things.
I think they get turned off by the fact that it takes Reborn months or
years to come back to life, tho, since they're built to allow gameplay
in the Afterlife as well. So, here's a way to make it work:

Simply alter the Ba background such that:

Years=Days

Months=Hours

Days=Minutes

Of course, this means altering the Mummy concept fundamentally so that
they have little or nothing to do withthe Underworld (their time there
will be as fleeting as a dream), but most players wanting to play
"Highlanders" and/or Crossover games won't really be concerned with
the Shadowlands anyway...

If one wants to go the full nine and include the Quickening, then I'd
recommend adopting the Soul Devouring rules from Demon: the Fallen...

Honestly, who wants their GM's time and attention taken even further
away from the matters at hand the rest of the group is engaged in when
someone cacks it?

Having to deal with one mummy in the Shadowlands and the rest of the
group in the mortal world is like the group splitting up to better
search the haunted house turned to eleven.

I hear you.

Tho I could imagine a scenario where there are important clues or
actions to be done/found in the Shadowlands, so it's up to the groups
Mummy to "take one for the team", off himself and go do it...^^
