Mushkin Callisto 120GB SSD

I recently purchased a new system and the new Mushkin Callisto 120GB SSD is my main system drive. I made the mistake of installing the operating system while my ASUS board was in IDE-mode. I found some instructions on how to enable AHCI and I ran some tests afterwards using HD Tune to see if I was getting the correct performance. Can anyone look over my results and let me know if they look like they are in the range of the advertised speeds?

They look pretty close to where they should be. Here are my results from my Intel X25-M G2 80GB.

Ah, very cool. Under the info tab, what does it say your supported & active UDMA Modes are? Do you happen to have an Asus board?

It says... UDMA Mode 6 for both

Damn, mine says Mode 2 as active and Mode 6 as supported. My motherboard (Asus P6X58D-E) doesn't have an area to set the UDMA Mode once you change the controller to AHCI. Did you change the mode in your BIOS or in Windows?

I found where you can enable UDMA in the device manager, but everything was already enabled. I noticed that the modes changed in HD Tune. My 1TB storage drive is running in mode 7 and it supports mode 6 (weird?) and my SSD is now running in mode 5, but supports mode 6. I got slightly better numbers though from the last test.

You don't buy an SSD for a little higher sequential read speed.

AS SSD is free and doesn't come with pro version. It can be downloaded here:

HDTune is commercial and the Pro version has some additional benchmarks; but quite comparable to how AS SSD and CrystalDiskMark test your drive. But what these two utilities give you for free, HDTune wants you to pay them for it. Guess it all fits with the commercial Windows-platform; but i'm not used to this kind of practice.
