I just thought, when you see so many negative comments on CS from many companies I would turn the tide. I ordered 2 gigs or DDR2 800 from Mushkin on Sunday, I usually order exclusively from Newegg but it was $20 cheaper from their site. Come Monday I was expecting a shipping comfirmation and tracking number or something but never got it so I thought I'll just wait till Tuesday. Tuesday morning came around and still no E-Mail so I called, in a world with rampant outsourcing it is extremely refreshing to call a company and speak to a person that english is their first language. So during my call I was informed that they were waiting for a shipment and didn't have them in stock which was annoying but it happens and they told me the shipment should be there Wednesday. Wednesday came and went and still no E-Mail so this morning I called again and was told that the truck had arrived today and my order was being upgraded to overnight and should arrive tomorrow afternoon.

All in all I think I will go back to using Newegg exclusivley. had I known, I would have been willing to spend the extra $20 to get it yesterday but as far as customer service goes Muskin has to rank with the best. It was a wonderful change to deal with a company that still cares after they have your money.

I always try to buy Mushkin when possible. I've got Blue Line in my system now. Their in Denver which is close to me so I like to buy their brand, plus it is always great stuff.

I found their Forum to be particularly helpful. I needed dimensions on a psu of theirs and they had it in like 1 hour.

Bump for everything working out for yah.

Currently Mushkin's price/performance ratio is just above Corsair and OCZ (wich isnt good).

Crucial, Geil and G.Skill are what u should buy from.

Yeah they are usually a tad above everyone else but I don't mind paying the extra $2-5 or so.

I agree with the comment about Crucial, I've never had any failures from their sticks.

This is actually the first time I've used Mushkin, previous to this I've only used Crucial but I've read good things about Mushkin and their overclockability.

This is what I ordered for $152.59 not a bad price IMO.

On a side note I just noticed a price drop. When I ordered the RAM it was $183.58 I just called and they are refunding my card the difference.

Its more like 100$ or more.

Or in the cases of OCZ and Corsair, they simply DONT HAVE any modules to match G.Skill, Crucial and Geil.. and some others.

My recent (within the past year) experience in turnaround times for RAM sent in for warranty replacement has been:
1) Centon: 1-2 days in their facility before replacement is shipped out.
2) Crucial: 10 days in their facility before replacement is shipped out.
3) Corsair: one week in their facility before replacement is shipped out.

I have always heard very good things about Mushkin, but have never had to use their RMA process.

Those are all a bit cheaper and I don't know about their customer service (with the exception of Crucial which is good) so I can't comment. But I will pay a little extra to support an American company, eventhough I'm sure it uses Samsung chips and is assembled overseas. And I will pay a little more to be able to speak to an American when I have a problem (anyone who has Sprint cell service know what I'm talking about). I thought the days of calling a company and speaking to someone you can understand and who knows what he or she is talking about were long gone but it seems you can still find it here or there.
