Hey, I want to do a mild overclock on my RAM to increase performance in video editing. I currently have DDR3 Mushkin ECO2 running at 1600 MHz 9 cas latency. First off, would I see an advantage overclocking it to1800-2000 MHz? And finally, are the heatspreaders on the ECO2 RAM good? Rather than wasting my time my putting a picture, if you don't know what the heatspreaders look like but want to answer the question, please just google it and make my life easier :)

Solution
Give it a try - what set do you have - can try manually to 1866, 10-10-10-27 initially and set DRAM voltage to 1.5. WIll see some gain (not a lot, but some) - if that is stable try same but change the first timing to 9. Let us know how it goes and include the actual model # of the ECOs as well as you mobo and CPU - all play in on what you can do
