Now that Crucial are offering PC2100 on selected mobos, which would be the better brand to opt for?I will want to use it in an o/ced system.Mushkin seems very expensive as opposed to Crucial's but my mind tells me you get what you pay for.

Ne ideas?

In my experience, Crucial has always been the best price/performance balance. How much more is Mushkin? Anyway, they are both very reliable makers, and I would usually go for Crucial because the price difference is usually not worth it to me.

256m mushkin pc2100 ddr (hyundai chips)$400
128m crucial $60 something
therefore @$120 against $400
you do the math..
(only wrote that cause I'm english and you americans have such amusing phrases(and I know u r canadian arrow))
neway less than a third of the cost, there has to be some real difference or market forces would hang mushkin out to dry.

Wuw, at that price difference, I wouldn't even give a second thought!
It might be interesting for you to know that Mushkin RAM had a tendency to be able to clock higher with their SDRAM.

I also want to get some PC2100 RAM and I just checked the Crucial website and could not find any, they only said they expected it to come in soon and they had no price. Could someone please direct me to the page with PC2100 for sale.
Thanx

That's not a valid math assignment because Mushkin has 256MB PC2100 DIMMs in-stock and Crucial, who (so far) has not ever had 128MB PC2100 modules, obviously doesn't have any!

Using 128MB PC2100 DIMMs is too restricting as to the maximum memory you can install on any of the AMD-VIA chipset DDR boards (because they will only accept up to 2 unbuffered DIMMs)!
