Mushkin to Crucial

I plan on purchasing a complete PC system that includes a ABIT KT7-RAID KT133 UDMA100+raid. AMD Tbird 1GHZ SKT A CPU, Two IBM DeskStars 75GXP 45gb each with UDMA100 in RAID 0 configuration, two Mushkin HP 128mb PC133 CAS2 SDRAM REV. 2,
and other components.

I would like to lower the cost of my system and add a Plextor CD-RW.

I was considering ordering without memory (Mushkin) and add the more reasonble Crucical memory. Can I use Crucial 256mb PC133 CAS2 $120. in place of the Mushkin memory(cost $240)in this system. And if so, do I have to do anything else other than popping in the memory?

With the CD-RW, it seems the two (45gbs HD) would be to much for my needs. Would it make much of a difference
in my savings if I chose 2 30gb's or 2 20gb's HD?

Thanks for your wisdom

I agree, I think Crucial is better quality and faster.

Crucial won't overclock as far, but neither will AMD's. So you should buy the Crucial, as your bus speed will not exceed the capabilities of Crucial ram.
