Music Cds will not play on my win2k machine

I can not get any kind of music CD to play on a win2k machine. It does not matter what player I use Realplayer Microsoft Media Player and others, just wont play any kind of music CD , lagit CDs. I tried a fresh install on an extra harddrive. and the basic media player with win2k works fine. So I am guessing this is a software problem. help!

Go to the device manager and right click on your CD drive. Click on the properties tab and make sure "enable digital CD audio" is checked.

more than likely it's your ASPI drivers. Download and run THIS:
