Ok, so I have a 512gb SSD, and a 1tb WD Green in my PC Build. I have put my large amount of 58gbs of music on my Hard Drive, as I want my SSD to stay as light and speedy as possible. Recently, these very strange folders have been appearing in my D:/Music folder. I delete them as they annoy the living hell out of me. Every time I go back into my music folder the next day, they are back again. There are 100s of them, filled with random files with odd names. I also noticed a few of my albums had duplicate songs, but not all of them. I will attach a few pictures and links of my Music folder so you can see what is going on. I would ideally not have to move my music onto my SSD. Thanks!

Hi again, mmontag!

I'm very sorry to hear about that! 🙁
I strongly recommend getting in touch with our tech support and letting them know about this!
It seems like your WD Green has failed somehow. If it's still covered by the warranty, you should be able to send out an RMA request and get a replacement. Here are a couple of links that will walk you through the whole process:

Hope this was helpful! Good luck!

Hey there, mmontag!

Have you done any recent Windows Updates? These cryptographic folders and files should be temporary and appear as a result of Windows updates, but you can use disk cleanup to delete them. However, they usually create a directory on the drive and they shouldn't affect any of your other files there. So I'd strongly recommend running a malware/virus scan, because it might as well be that causing the buggy-ness in the WD Green. You could also run chkdsk /r using the Command prompt and see if you can recover the readable data: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html
I'd also suggest to check up on the health and S.M.A.R.T. status of the drive, using WD Data LifeGuard Diagnostics. Make sure to run the quick and extended test: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=3wRwqn

Keep me posted! Hope this helps!

Sorry for the late response, Thank you so much for the awesome answer! I just tried the Check Disk Method and nothing happened, I also tried the Lifeguard Diagnostics, and nothing happened. Finally I tried a full system scan with Avast! and nothing came up. I can delete the folder with CCleaner or the recycle bin, nothing happens. I am thoroughly annoyed right now xD.
