Hello, I wanted to move my "pictures" folder location to my Onedrive-library (it contains the folder struture and previews for Abobe lightroom) on another disk, just to have it backed up.

I mistakenly moved music there, then just moved the pictures folder, it said something about them becoming tied to each other, I didn't care (yeah, idiot). I just thought I'd move the location back later. Well, anyway, now the Pictures folder is actually the music folder. Anything deleted from music will disappear in Pictures and vice versa.
The functionality hasn't changed, I don't use the music folder, but it's extremely annoying just because...

Anyone know how to change it back? I'm thinking maybe regedit, but don't know what I'm looking for.
Thanks!

Hello,

Try to reset the default location of your Windows Explorer folders.

- If you are in a home group, then you will need to change the home group settings to no longer share the user folder (Ex: Music) that you want to move first by un-checking the folder and clicking on Save Changes.
NOTE: This is so the user folder (Ex: Music) will not be shared on the homegroup anymore. This can be found via Control Panel\Network and Internet\HomeGroup.

- Press the Windows+R keys to open the Run dialog, type shell:UsersFilesFolder, and press enter.
NOTE: This will open your C:\Users\(user-name) folder.

- Right click or press and hold on the user folder (ex: Music) that you want to restore the default location for, and click/tap on Properties...

-Click/tap on the Location tab, and Restore Default button. Click/tap on OK.
NOTE: Notice that the location has changed to the default C:\Users\(user-name) location.

- Click/tap on Yes.

- Click/tap on Yes.
WARNING: If you do not click/tap on Yes, then you will have two copies of this user folder at the C:\Users\(user-name) location. One will be a normal folder (same name) with the contents and the other as the now restored user folder. It is recommended that you click/tap on YES.

- After a few seconds when the location has been restored, the Properties window will then close.

-If you are in a home group, then you can now change the home group settings back to share the user folder (ex: Music) again if you like by checking the folder and clicking on Save Changes.

Hope this helps.
