Hey, so I need help from some of you who are smarter than I when it comes to computer hardware.
I have a 2015/2016 ASUS quadcore i7 with 8GB RAM and I consistently DSP out during playback in REASON 10 ( music production software).
I would like to build something that is around 4ghz or better with 16 or 32 GB RAM and separate SSD for running my programs and a TB or two HDD for file storage. The Video card doesn't need to be super awesome because I am not by any means a gamer, though my audio interface is what generally runs my audio, the audio card should be pretty good. I would like at least four USB ports 3.1 maybe one 2.0 just in case older USB connections are not as compatible (I have no idea if connecting a device that is usb 1.0 to a 3.1 port makes any difference or not).
The most important thing is that it can handle the weight of processing all the different virtual instruments and real audio at the same time.
Any advice on build specs would be helpful as I'm starting from scratch (only have a monitor). If I can keep it as affordable as possible.
Thanks in advance!
