Mw2 gaming computer

Hi all,

I have a friend who is thinking of getting a new computer to run MW2, and I'm pretty sure that the one in the link below should be able to run the game on maximum settings (excluding aa and sync every frame), at 60 fps. If I am wrong, can you give me an estimate on how well it would run (low settings, medium settings, high, full).

What resolution are you planning to run at? Regardless, you won't be able to max MW2 with that comp. Low/med setting at a low res, or low settings at 1080p.

Ok so he should be able to run MW2 at 1080p with all other textures off? 60 fps?

On second thought, it might now even be playable at 1080p with that card, behold, barely playable on low at 720p:

EDIT:FWIW, you could put together a computer that could get a minimum of 60fps at med/high settings at 1080p for $100 more than the one you listed, just a thought.

Yea, well problem is that my friends parents are dickheads and his computer is 5 years old, and well runs mw2 at like 5 fps at lowest settings (he has done EVERY possible thing to speed up his games). And well they wont spend more than $400 on a new computer.. :/ So if you can find a computer $400 or under, that would be great!

take i3-2100 computer with good gpu gtx 550-560 should be sufficent

what are the specs of your friend??? if he have a core 2 duo or core 2 quad he can just ugrade psu and gpu and start gaming. check this link for gpu information, if you live in usa you can get a combo of gpu+psu for 250 or 200 bucks. I strongly Recommend Getting a 6770 if you dont want to spend alot, If you can get a 6850.
