Trying to repair or revamp my old 2010(ish) Dell Studio XPS 8100.

I *diagnosed* it and determined that a new hard drive and power supply might fix it.

I ordered a kingston SSD and a corsair CX500, and the pc was able to boot to the bios page. Unfortunately I then started encountering errors which make me think that there's still something wrong with it.

Now I'm considering replacing everything inside the case (lol, just buying a hodgepodge pc basically) and have a parts list picked out.

CPU: AMD FX 8350 4GHz 8-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

Motherboard: ASUS - Crosshair V Formula-Z ATX AM3 + Motherboard

Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 Memory

Storage: Kingston - A400 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Video Card: Zotac - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Mini Video Card

None of these have compatibility issues according to pcpartpicker.com, but I'd still love to hear someone else's thoughts on this.

Will it explode/melt as soon as I've put in the parts and connected it to power? XD

THANKS!!
