Hi,
I've been looking for a custom desktop that will last me a long time for the purpose of gaming, student work, multimedia and everyday computing. With some bad experience with laptops for all these purposes I was wondering if Desktops were a better way to go in terms of price, performance, reliability and also the ability to get parts fixed/replaced. Also I stumbled across this item " http://www.mwave.com.au/product/mwave-haswell-gamer-gtx-760-system-ab51566 " and was curious to know if it would for example run a game like BattleField 4 at an optimal level, also with no sound card that I can see on it, would this affect the quality of sound still with the use of a decent headset? Being pretty technically disadvantaged I would appreciate any advice and reassurance of this system or any others that would be of a similar price range. Also if you did suggest this system or an alternative would you recommend a certain monitor for it? I'm not sure which monitors suit which systems and wouldn't want to purchase based on a guess.
Thanks in advance for all the advice.

The website kept dumping my cart and changing it with someone elses every time I put the share cart link in.

Take a look at that. Just quickly put together. If you build it yourself you can swap and change anything you like. Even if you have never done it before its really easy, its just putting things where they fit.

For almost the same money as the prebuilt one I added a motherboard that can take advantage of the 'K' in the 4670K it has, overclocking that is. Also watercooling to help with the temps but you could just have air cooling or better watercooling its up to you.

The sound would come from the inbuilt audio. You will get better quality with a proper sound card but that adds more expense. All depends on your budget.
