Not very useful if the batteries only last a few minutes at best, unless they have some magic power management.

From reading Archos' press release, I think you mean 4000mAh and 7000mAh.
 
See the problem is "TomsHardware" doesn't care any more if it doesn't have a little fruit pictured on the device somewhere they could give a **** less about checking what they write!
 
Horrible specs for the money. Those low end CPU's have poor software supports, as many developers, do not spend time adding proper hardware acceleration for them, thus you end up with a device that is only supporting hardware acceleration for probably 1 format.
