My old MS Arc keyboard crapped out on me and I got a Logitech MX Keys Mini (MKM) to use with my
HP Envy TE01-1022 Desktop PC.

I have paired the keyboard with the PC via Bluetooth (the MKM is also recognized and connected to the Logi Options+, as is my MX Master3. When I am through with the PC, I put it to sleep using the following shortcut (C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0.1.0.)

When the old Arc keyboard was functioning, pressing Enter or other keys would awaken the sleeping PC. However, the only way that I now can get my PC to wake from sleep is by tapping the PC's start button.

I have unsuccessfully tried the fixes offered by this link: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/windows-10-wont-wake-sleep-keyboard-mouse/. Interestingly, when I tried to keep the USBs awake, they still went to sleep. Thanks.

EDIT: I think the problem is that when on a BT connection, the device is unable to awake a sleeping PC. I believe that I would have to do a wireless connection through a Logi Bolt USB to be able to wake PC from Sleep....Correct?

I find it interesting that with over 400 views, there is no response. I believe that I am correct in my assessment, but would expect at least one confirmation???

Did you use this link or a similar link to create the shortcut?

https://www.easeus.com/backup-recovery/put-windows-11-pcs-to-sleep.html

If you create a second shortcut to unsuspend the keyboard from sleep - does the second shortcut work/unsuspend sleep?

I.e., the applicable configuration to SetSuspendState to unsuspended.

Not what you want per se but worth trying to determine if that happens to work.

The following link may prove helpful:

Also before and after sleep shortcut run "powercfg" using the applicable options:

bluetooth is not able to wake up your computer, because your bios does not have bluetooth drivers
you will need bluetooth dongle which can fake usb hid device, that way it can wake up your PC as any other keyboard
logitech does have those dongles (logitech unifying receiver), but mx mini doesnt supports it

As noted in the original post, here's the pathway to sleep used by my taskbar sleep icon (C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0). I have also set windows (and monitor) to sleep in 3 minutes in Settings. I did try to first turn off hibernate using the admin command prompt "powercfg -hibernate off" Didn't work. I'd like to try it using your suggestion "Also before and after sleep shortcut run "powercfg" using the applicable options," but I don't know the syntax. That is, I don't know where to place "powercfg" in the link.

I give up. I'll probably have to spring for the ~$17 that the Bolt will cost. Having to press the PC's start button all the time is a PITA. And, thank you all for your suggestions.

EDIT: Ordered, $15 Amazon Prime

Got the Bolt, but was having trouble getting it to work. Found out how to get the keyboard to wake PC. Here's an instructional video (https://www.google.com/search?clien...ate=ive&vld=cid:92394a73,vid:VibWlpryF0I,st:0) that shows how to do the connection via Logi Options. Actually, when I first tried to do the setup, I didn't quite follow the instructions. Once Options was put into searching mode, all one had to do is hold down a keyboard key long enough for Options to find the keyboard. I either wasn't sure what to hold down or I didn't hold down a key long enough.

And, now an added plus is that for those that use Options with Flow on two computers, it still works fine.
