I've just purchased a Crucial MX100 256GB SSD and installed Windows 8.1 on it and then proceeded to testing it. While the write speed is the same as other benchmarks I found on the internet, around 330-336MB/s, the read speeds are much lower, I got 380 in CrystalDiskMark and 403 in ATTO while others got 480-550. It is connected on SATA3 and AHCI enabled in bios, and also tried connecting it to the other SATA3 controller, nothing changed. Any idea what might be causing this?
My other components:
ASRock 980DE3/U3S3
AMD FX-6300
2x4GB HyperX Savage 1600Mhz
A 320GB HDD...can't remember the manufacturer
Also worth mentioning that my SDD is 25% full while the other tests I saw were 0%, so this or my motherboard bottlenecking it are the only things I can think of.
Thanks!
