Hello I am buying a 1080Ti and i noticed that it has a 8+6 pins but my PSU only has 8 Pin (6+2).

Now my question is can i use it on this PSU as it has 850W or I need a new PSU with both 8 pin and 6 pin.

I am buying the VGA today any fast answer is greatly appreciated Thnaks

What PSU do you have, specifically?

There's not a single, true 850W unit with a single 6+2 connector.

If it's a decent quality unit, you should have at least 4 6+2pin connectors.
In that care, you put the 6+2 together (to form 8) and use on the 6 aspect of the next 6+2 connector.

Like buying this 1080 will leave me without a dollar in my pocket i can't afford also a new PSU
In that case i would suggest you this, a split adapter for PSU powering cable which can give you the 2 power supply connectors for the GPU PCIE 8 Pin male to Dual 8 Pin (6+2) male PCI Express Power Adapter Cable, but i cannot guarantee that your PSU can handle the graphics card because of lack of data for it.
There are cheap PSU's that can handle 1080Ti, just need to choose wisely and maybe find a bit cheaper 1080Ti to free up some budget for PSU. There are plenty of 1080Ti's out there.

If you can't afford a new psu, then you'd best drop the idea of getting a 1080Ti.
A high end gpu demands an equally good power supply.

And forget about using an extra adapter - if the psu doesn't already come with the necessary connections/cables, then its not the tool for the job.

I'm curious though. How good of a deal is this 1080Ti anyway, compared to it's 2070 Super equivalent at ~$500?

Well im still saving 150$ and upgrading from a 1060 to 1080Ti I can't afford the RTX and I really want this new card rather than a used one but yeah one day in the future when ill be riched it will be different:p

Any way the games I play are very basic and non demanding games exept for call of duty which I will buy now. But im buying a card that will last me a few years before changing it as games nowadays become more and more graphic demanding
