[SOLVED] My 1440p monitor is only outputting 1080p, can I upscale it?

Okay so essentially I bought this 1440p monitor a year ago when I had a worse GPU. The GPU couldnt handle 1440p so I downscaled it to 1080. I now have a better GPU (rtx 2060) and would like to upscale my monitor back to 1440p. However I havent been able to do this, any advice is appreciated

Make sure you're using the HDMI 2.0 or Display port to connect to your monitor.
