So,
My 1866 MHz Corsair Vengeance Pro 16 GB (8x2) RAM ran at 1333 MHz upon initial boot. So, I went into memory settings and just enabled something called X.M.P. After another reboot, it seemed that my memory was running properly at 1866 MHz. Is there something else I need to do to get it to run properly? I'm worried that XMP is going to harm something. Do I need to do something else?
Thanks

No enabling XMP is the right thing to do. XMP was something intel did back when the x79 platform was released I think? Anyways it stands for Xtreme Memory Profile. So there ya go your pc is now Xtreme. All it does is makes sure your memory is running at the correct CL latencys and Mhz. Wont harm a thing
