Lately my external hdd transfer speed become really really slow ( 3Mbps to Kbps), at some case it wont let me copy from the HDD to my laptop, and then windows explorer will crash. Also there is some video file i cant open or the video buffering is very slow. I also check if there is some virus but i got nothing, also not weak head or usb cable problem, try to defrag or checking for bad sector but the scan always not completed because it stop in the middle of process and then my HDD became unaccessible. Already try DSKCHK to check for bad sector from my HDD but it said nothing wrong. Can someone help me? I have some important file i want to move but it wont let me copy or move the file... please..I really appreciate any solution you have..and sorry for my bad english, not my mother language..

I'm sorry but it does not sound good for your drive. it sounds like your file has a bad section of harddrive in it.

Try and run chkdsk from the windows advanced startup options command prompt. chkdsk.exe c: /r
is the command. Perhaps running outside of windows will allow it to complete.

You must always remember that important files need to be stored on more than one device. Having more than 1 copy is the only way to survive a drive failure.
